About Active
 

Active Electrical Supply Company has been selling quality electrical and lighting products in the Chicago area for over fifty years. Founded February 24, 1953 by Anton Fox and two partners, the company managed with just four employees; including Anton’s son Ray. The company and both locations continue to be owned and operated by the Fox family to this day.

 

Over the years, Active has managed to increase from four to over 50 employees and has expanded its operations to better service our suburban  customers in Elgin and surrounding suburbs of Chicago. Our commitment to service, knowledge and in-stock selection remains our top priority since conception. Our sales force has an average tenure of 20 years, and many of our employees have been with the company for 30 years or more.

 

The same can be said for our loyal customers, many of whom have done business with Active for decades. The relationship we have with our employees is passed onto our customers, which is the cornerstone that makes Active one of the best family owned and operated businesses in Chicago.
