What are your hours of operation? [top]

Active Electric’s Chicago location including our lighting showroom, material counter and inside phone sales, is open from 6:30am until 5pm Monday through Friday. We are open Saturday from 7:30am until 2pm. Also, our lighting showroom and material counter are open late on Thursday evening until 8pm. Active is closed on Sunday.

 

The Elgin branch, including the material counter and inside phone sales, is open from 7:00am to 5pm Monday through Friday. However, the commercial lighting department closes at 4:30pm Monday through Friday. This location is closed on Thursday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Where are you located? [top]

Our Chicago location is at 4240 W. Lawrence Avenue, which is between Elston and Pulaski in Chicago. From I-90, exit at Lawrence Ave and go 1 mile east; we are on the north side of Lawrence at Tripp Ave. From the Edens, exit at Cicero Ave and travel south on Cicero to Elston Ave. Take a left on Elston and go to Lawrence Ave. Take a left on Lawrence and we are about 6 blocks east on the north side of the street.

 

Our Elgin location is at 1615 Dundee Avenue, Unit A. From I-90, exit at Highway 25. Go north (a right from the exit ramp) across the highway, and take a right at the first light, which is Brandt Road. Take the second right into the parking lot and we are the first unit in the back building. Interactive maps are available in our location information.

 

 

Can I contact Active after hours? [top]

Yes, you can call (773) 282-6300 and follow the prompts to leave a voice mail message or listen to our hours and get directions. Active also offers an after hours emergency service. Please contact our inside sales force at (773) 282-6300 for more information about this service.

 

 

What are your shipping policies? [top]

Active makes daily deliveries for customers on open account to locations throughout Cook, Lake, McHenry, DuPage, and Kane counties, as well as some parts of Will County. We also use UPS and common carriers; as well as direct shipments from vendors when appropriate. Generally, orders placed before 5pm will be shipped the next day if stock is available. Active will also deliver COD orders for a fee.

All payments should be sent to Active Electric Supply Company at the following address:

Tell me about Fox Lighting Galleries. [top]

Fox Lighting Galleries is the retail lighting arm of Active Electrical Supply Company. Our lighting showroom on Lawrence Avenue displays over 1500 fixtures in a broad range of styles and prices. Our consultants can help with everything from the purchase of one fixture to laying out the lighting in an entire house or condo. We also carry ceiling fans, giftware, mirrors, fountains and accent furniture. We do not have a lighting showroom at our Elgin branch. The showroom manager is Skip Leigh (773-427-3344). How do I return an item to Active? [top]

You can bring your return items to our counter or will call areas and our sales staff will process your return. Or you may also contact your sales person, who will write up a return authorization and schedule a return date for the items. Active may charge a restocking fee on certain returns. Non-stock and special order items may only be returned if the manufacturer will accept the item for return. For questions on the status of your credit, contact Damien Wilburn at 773-282-6200 x260.
