"Ulla Darni's latest work is a reflection of her developing inner environment. This internationally acclaimed artist is unfolding, as is her art. Like the Phoenix, Ulla has literally risen from the ashes, after her Victorian home was destroyed by fire in February, 2003. She and her husband narrowly escaped the flames and what followed was a catharsis within, expanding exponentially her historical connection with the Creative Muse. Ms. Darni describes her newest work as 'the result of an expanded bond with the Forces' that have accompanied her throughout her career. She begins her work with a meditation that brings her to the inner space in which Creation occurs. Fantastic colors and never-before-seen organic creature-flowers seem to bloom on her canvas of glass.

Made of hand-blown and oven formed glass, her works of art are painted on the reverse side. The wrought iron and bronze hardware for the lamps, designed by Ulla and forged by master craftsmen, perfectly complement the shapes and colors of the glass."
